Application

Materials

Advantages

️ Z3 roughing cutters feature a very fine serration, with a wave spacing of 0.8-0.9 mm. The serration consists of special notches on the cutter.
️ Z3 roughing cutters are designed for the initial cutting stage, meaning the rough machining of the material. Their primary purpose is to quickly remove large amounts of material.
️ These cutters do not provide a fine finish. After their use, a finishing cutter is required to refine the machined surface.
️ They allow very high feed rates. Due to their design, they enable faster machining but at the expense of surface finish quality.
️ Roughing cutters come with serration and an optional chip breaker.
