Diamond Router Bits Z1, Downcut, for Composite Materials

Description

️ Single-edge diamond router bit (Z1)
️ Negative construction — downward chip ejection
️ Polycrystalline diamond (PCD) tips, insert height H3.0
️ Body made from tungsten carbide (HM)
️ Shank accuracy class H6, surface roughness Ra ≤0.3 μm
️ Can be resharpened up to 3–4 times
️ Right-hand rotation (RH), laser ablation

Technical details

For cutting and grooving in glass and carbon fibre, fibre cement board, aluminium, Corian® and HPL. Intended for use on CNC machines.

Materials

Advantages

️ Choose DT1 where a small-diameter diamond tool in the downcut version is required — downward chip ejection holds the material against the table.
️ The series covers two cutting lengths at 6 mm diameter, allowing the tool to be matched to the thickness of the workpiece.
️ The other diamond bits for composites have larger diameters and more cutting edges: DT3 – Z3, 12–16 mm, DT5 – Z5+1, 20 mm, DTR – Z4+1, 12 mm.
️ Polycrystalline diamond tips are intended for highly abrasive materials, in which a carbide edge wears rapidly.
